day 7- tyler

today we worked on making the wooden frames! i used the saw and it was pretty scary but i did it! i also used the router table to make a cut in side to put the acrylic in. then we set the saw to really low and straight and we cut the other side for the chipboard to go into! i got to take my frame pieces home so i could white wash them. white washing is where you get a 1:1 water paint ratio and paint over the frame to make it whiter but still keep the wooden natural designs. because i whitewashed my frames i was not able to sand them, but i was totally good with that! we had to do a lot of measurements with fractions and the width and height of our pieces so that was a bit difficult for me as im not that good at that kind of math. but after a few tries and some help i got it down!
